The Integration Weeks are two weeks integration programme for international students.
You are an exchange student and you are coming to Belgium in one of our member institutions.
You will have two weeks of languages classes (French or English) and an introduction to Belgian culture, food and heritage before your academic year :
- French or English classes : 40 hours spread over two weeks (French-speaking students participate in English classes and English-speaking students participate in French classes) ;
- Cultural activities in and around Namur region ;
- Excursion to Brussels ;
- Social events.
The whole program represents 3 ECTS. First day, you will have to sign a charter.

These Integration Days are accessible to all incoming exchange students to any of the Pôle académique de Namur member institutions.

- Period : 1st & 2nd February 2025
- Cost :The participation fees are paid by your institution in Belgium. In case of cancellation of your registration, your institution reserves the right to claim the participation fee for the day !
Programme
Saturday 1st February
Activity to discover Namur and its cultural heritage. Visit of the Citadel of Namur. A part of the visit will take place in the underground tunnels. This activity is therefore not recommended for claustrophobic students.
Sunday 2nd February
Visits of the Wildlife Park of Bouillon and the Abbaye d’Orval (Orval Abbey). The lunch is offered !
French as a Foreign Language
Through the Pôle académique de Namur, exchange students have the opportunity to follow French classes in Namur.
These courses take place over a four-month period (3 hours a week for 10 weeks) and can be worth 3 ECTS per four-month period. The dates during which the courses take place are as follows:
- 1st quarter: from early October to mid December
- 2nd quarter: from early February to late April/early May
These courses are exclusively reserved for international students from member institutions.
The courses are provided by the École Supérieure des Affaires (ESA).

Living in Namur ?
If you are staying in the city of Namur for more than 3 months, you will have to go through administrative procedures.
You must go to the City Hall of Namur to register as soon as you arrive. So rapidly contact the City Hall to make an appointment !

Ask the City Hall for the documents you need to provide. Take all your original documents in paper format ! If there are some digital documents, print also the mails as a proof.

Living in Gembloux ?
International students must contact the “Service des Étrangers” (by appointment only) via the address etrangers@gembloux.be. This service achieves the various formalities necessary for the registration of European and non-European foreigners arriving in Gembloux. It manages the files of foreigners residing on the territory of the City and issues residence documents.
Ask the City Hall for the documents you need to provide. Take all your original documents in paper format !

The International House – La Maison Internationale is a student association from Namur. Its missions is to welcome, help and entertain the Erasmus students in Namur and around.
